About

Having done a previous Co-Op in the IT Architecture team, I am aware of the challenges faced by project managers. Having to balance highly technical knowledge with readability can be challenging as the audience ranges from professionals to basic technology users. This gap can be bridged by strong research and problem solving skills as these allow for constructive discussions. This goes hand in hand with the need to understand the target audience as the position requires working with different departments that covers a wide spectrum of people and experiences.

To showcase this, I want to include three of my works I created this semester: The Topic Memo, the Research Document and the Public Document. All discussing the threat of socialbots on Facebook. As the audience varies from highly technical to less technical, it demonstrates a wide range of writing styles that a project manager would need to use. As a candidate not only has to understand the industry jargon but has to also be able to coherently and effectively address different groups of people. Overcoming the bias that computer scientists are introverted and not good at expressing their ideas to others.
